So the last few days I've been busy pre-paring the engine bay for top coat (BLACK) and so today was the first few coats…. I let the pictures show the results….

I'll be rubbing it all down again tomorrow with 800 & 1200 wet and dry and then 2 more coats on and then it complete :) then its time to get the engine installed which should be this Sunday  :D

well with the crap weather on my door step… no work on the engine bay

so I thought I'd work on the getting the engine ready for putting in….

Been working on last few items that needed cleaning up and painting - horn parts, fuel filter parts and some small parts…

Here's a picture of the engine complete before I put it on the floor (on covers off course!!!) and then added the gearbox on this afternoon…. (main pictures tomorrow - I am really pleased with the end results)

really do love this one mate.  8)

Couple of questions, what paint did you use for the cylinder head and inlet manifold?

Also, is that not the worlds biggest fuel filter?!  8O

Cheers mate!

I used Hammerite high temp paint for the head and inlet manifold

Yeah I agree its the biggest fuel filter I've seen on a mk1 as well, but its the one that goes with this engine!
