whats the average age of all you mk1 owners

I was after a '77 Mk1 the same vintage as me but found one older so settled for that  

my golf born in 83 and me in 85 so that make me golf 23 and me 21 and i'm sure i had about 15-20 cars in the last 4 years including brand new fords and 20 yr old fords and all off em have not survived very long i say the best car i owned was a passat apart from i killed the gbox but cant wait for golf on the rd

I'm 37 and the Golfs 23 years old, the golfs looking good for her age, whereas I look like my paper round was too much for me :cry:

im 30 berty and people think i'm barely 20!
riding round in a GTI looking like a teenager with insuarance less than ?200 a year can't be bad. Woo hoo.

33, bit creaky (that's me and my golf). Owned dubs on and off since 1990 (not all mk1's tho).

I am at the great age of 30!!! car insurance is now cheeper!!! and my motor is 17 years old…..

the GTi is three years older than me, i think the insurance man hates me!

25 but with a new baby and just having dumped 1/3 of a tank of petrol on the road (not sure if tank or pipe damaged) i have aged a few more years recently!!   

31 and grey hairs starting to appear, knees going due to many a time over the engine bay :wink:
