Essex Meet 6. Let's Go Karting

As the idea of go-karting seemed to go down well at the last meet, I've done some homework.

From the GoGpRacing circuit in Braintree.

A number of options and prices:


Grand Prix - ?35.00 per driver: practice, heats and final.

Grand Prix Special - ?40.00 per driver: practice, heats, semi's and final.

Endurance Racing
Teams of 2-6 drivers, 5-8 teams per event.  Choose from 1hr, 1.5hr, 2hr, 2.5hr, 3hr races, plus qualifying and practice for each driver.
1hr - ?70.00 per team
1.5hr - ?90.00 per team
2hr - ?115.00 per team
2.5hr - ?140.00 per team
3hr - ?160.00 per team

Sprint Racing
5-8 drivers (60 laps+practice) - ?30 per driver
5-8 drivers (120 laps+practice) - ?50 per driver
Trophies or medals for the top three

Spectators - Free


What do you rekon peeps???

I think the enduro racing seems good, the more of us there are the cheaper it is.  If we have 15 people, for e.g. 3 in a team for an hour it would only cost ?23 each.

Bring your wives/husbands/boyfriends/girlfriends/partners etc.  No under 15's tho'

Probably aim for the tail end of September.  Let me know who's interested, how many from your house, option prefs etc

Could maybe cruise out somewhere for a pint afterwards too.

Yep I like that idea although I'm not allowed to race cos of my eyes  But I'll come along and jump about enthusiastically all the same

I would be up for it but not working at mo! And you did all look cool driving into the car aprk! Made me smile anyway

Looks good, reckon endurance would be the best option. Any ideas a bout dates, definetly not free 23/24 - going to the Thoroughbred GP.

Up to about 7 now, need 15 really to make it happen.  Will need to book in the next week or so.  If not enough then it'll be a regular meet. If you haven't let me know your plans, get typin :wink:

how much is the karting and what time. Are you going to meet up after the karting aswell.

To be honest, at the mo it doesn't look too promising on the karting front :cry: .  If we had around 15 peeps it would cost around ?23 each

If there's not enough folks able to support then we'll probably meet up in Chelmsford as usual.  30th Sept, 3pm onwards.

I'll leave the original option open until next weekend as this will need to be booked in advance.  Otherwise plan 'B'

Hopefully have the cab back on the road by the fan seized @ e38 on sat and had to be trailered home!!cry:

I quite often go to the splitterz meet so up for that too
