The best thing ever thou is driving to le mans in convoy with them

Looks like fun, that GT6 looks good and with a TR6 lump 8O . Did the Stag make it there and back ok - bonnet looks ominously ajar.

The top speed of an mgb wasn't that high , the MGC with 3.0l straight 6 could top 120mph

Problem was the MGC didn't go round corners (although MGB wasn't that good either). The straight six was a old heavy unit similar to what was stuck in big BMC saloons so quite lazy and slow reving. The Rover V8 was by far the best engine to stick in (I think it weighed less than the 1.8 B lump). However, typical BMC/BL arrogance and mismanagement meant they decided customers would rather have an iron pushroad B or heavy unsporty C than the all aluminium, punchy V8   :banghead:

yeah the stag was fine, thats my uncles un-restored one, its lush!

They all pop their bonnets when they stop, haha!

the GT6 was a cool car aswell, my brother had one. hes also got  78 spitfire 1500, which is a nice car, but restored really badly

here's my old mk2 (the red one), no need for a TR6 engine in this though….
