Ne yorkshire lads welcome?

I like the idea of a drive out to Southport Dano! 8)  

What does everyone else think? :dontknow:

Everyone is welcome, no need to ask to join in.

What does everybody think about a drive out to Southport then for some chips? It would make a change to sitting in the pub. Say meet for 7pm then leave about 7.30pm? It would take about 30 minutes to travel plus there are loads of chippy's to get tea etc.

Thoughs people?  :dontknow:

If you meet at 7pm prompt then go for a cruise, I won't be able to come, and I imagine a lot of others who are planning to come from a distance, in the weekday after work, too. I can't make 7pm and I'd never know where you are, to catch up with you, don't fancy a wild goose chase!

can us Cheshire lot hook up somewhere at a more convienient time and then head up there?? Mobile numbers may be required to reduce the goose chashing!!

Paul, I'd have thought that you'd have installed sat nav or at least a Tom Tom into the motor by now!!!

If you came up through the tunnels, you'd drive to Southport via the coast road through Formby & Ainsdale. We could meet up on the sea front for chips. It would be closer than coming to Parbold I think and Southport isn't a big place… plus we have mobiles.

No problems coming to Southport instead of Parbold, I'd just need a time & place! I have satnav but I obviously wouldn't be able to use the mobile whilst driving…….

Its getting further and further away now!! 8O id love to come to the next one, just the distance…..on a weeknight :? a drive sounds like fun, only southport is 2hrs away!! ill have to give it a miss :cry:

It looks like there will be a few more 'new arrivals' at the next meet. The idea of a drive out is only a suggestion but I personally think that we could do with some thing at more adventurous than sitting in the boozer.

Who is a definate to attend NWM11?

I think we need to decide either Parbold (The Wiggin Tree pub) or Southport (by the beach). Meeting at the pub and having a cruise is great if you're local (and there's nothing to stop the local ones doing this) but some people are coming from far away and would want to drive somewhere, stop and socialise, then drive home. (Rather than driving somewhere, stopping, starting, driving somewhere else then driving home).

So, my suggestion is the main meet is on Thursday 22nd at 7:30pm at Southport Beach Car Park, according to the red X on this map:



and anyone who wants to 'cruise' can meet at "The Wiggin Tree" at 7pm and drive to Southport.

So everyone finds us okay, I'll swap mobile numbers with anyone coming from the Wirral/Liverpool area (PM me) and if you're local, or coming from the other direction, swap numbers with Dano?

Paul move the 'X' north mate, there's nothing in Ainsdale!!! (Sorry!)

A bit further up and there's the town centre with all its attractions, food etc.

The best place is above the 'E' in Esplanade, there are quite a few car parks there and you overlook the 'sea'. Bring binnoculars if you want to see it!!

I will see everyone at Parbold for 7pm and then we can head off the Southport for 7.30pm, arriving around 8.00pm. Meet the 'Cheshire Set' there.

i defo wanna come but theres one small problem.the tidy driver i was buyin that i remember from a year or so ago is now a dog!!haha
an me other driver aint got no engine so i wont be in that!
but hopefully should have a gti by then if i can find a tidy one.anyone with any info of a gti for sale can pm me!!
