I think thats wicked. It's gona weigh next to nout and you could fit a stonking engine it. Just be a bit of fun. Obviously if you were trying to pass it off as an actual TT that would be a bit sad but it's obviously not and still looks ok. If it goes for less than a grand I reckon thats a good little project for someone

Perhaps that guy doesn't know what he's actually got.
It looks like banham x21 kit car, based on a metro, but I think its actually a complete monocoque or space frame (I can't remember which).
Properly buit the coupe version alone can go for over 5k, so don't mock

No apologies I'm afraid guys. I do realise alot of skill and graft/fun goes into making these…
… but I'd rather walk than go anywhere near that thing! Just my opinion of course

just to point out it still looks better than any metro I've ever seen, I think with maybe a VVC 1.8 fro the ZR it would be kinda cool in a rovery way :? I had a metro as my first car (as such) and wish it was a bit more credable, may be this is the answer to the insurance woes of a 17 year old who desires a TT :dontknow:

A kit car is only as good as the builder made it. I have a mate who built himself a Cobra replica (and it is a true replica, including a Ford Cobra 289 V8 ) and it is stunning. another guy has an e-type replica that he bought pre built and wasn't to shabby, but is now making it better. The Banham is a good kit, but needs to be executed properly. This one doesn't look to good - and i have a feeling it's been listed before!

How strange!!
The Rover Metro used to actually get faster as it aged. Yes as it rusted more and more and started falling to bits, it got lighter and could go faster
The fastest speed recorded for a Metro was actually when it was on the back of the breakdown lorry

I used to have an mg metro when i was a lad (long time ago) my mum bought it new with all the extras like steering wheel and reverse and then my brother thrashed it n i got it only lasted a few months n then gave up the ghost at 60 odd thou miles but was good in its time be it short lived.
