I think my sportline came from around Peterborough originally or spent a bit of its life there. It had engine mods done at a place there. Do you know a place called Martin Smith Motorsports? I'm not sure it exists anymore  :dontknow:

what you mean wheres the stereo i have to have it turned up a bit to cover up the annoying oil pressure buzzer due to some dodgy electrics im trying to sort  havnt heard of martin smiths motorsport will see if anyone else local knew of them

unfortunatley not cabriodj . was debating turbo power even had the full bam audi setup but think its gonna stay standard its the first ever mk1 ive owned and i want to  use it everyday looking for a mk1 polo for the 20v to do a street sleeper. thatll suprise a few people

I've got a red mk1 GTi in Peterborough. Could do with hooking up with people to get an idea of the best local places for getting work done, etc. Not lived here for long so any advice is good…

Saw another MK1 in Stamford this evening - a red Karman cabby - left calling card under wiper so maybe we'll have another one on board?!

Rob Aloe from the VW place on Fengate told me that there are about 10-15 mk1s that he knows of round Peterborough. I know of a guy from Perkins that has a nice lookin gold cabby as well.
