thought id say hello, got myself a run about mk1 last week and then did what i said i wouldnt lol.

cars a mint 1.1 soon to be swapped for somthing a bit meaty. i got it tursday nite, sat morning got coilovers, ronal turbos and crystal headlights. now pimping round in the v-dub. ill try and get sum pics up sooninsh. ull get to know me as ill be asking loads of silly little questions

cheers peeps. need to get the arches rolled so i can get the car a little lower. can anyone recomend someone in the midlands south west area?

Im pretty sure Wheelmania on the hagley road do arches?? Least theyd know where... Edgebaston area of Brum..

Just rang them, they will onlyu do the rears, rears are ok on mine, its the fronts that need modding.

strange they wont touch fronts? Some halfords used to roll arches they have the rollers that bolt onto hubs
ill ask around..  8)

you want it lower? 8O lol

go for it mate i thought mine was low.

a mate of mine who's got his own garage sugested to me not to get the arches rolled but cut the metal away as pain used to crack and the metal used to get rusty on all the RS turbo's he used to work on.

oh yeah he used to work at RGS motorsport in wellingborough.

you sure the fronts are catching? what size rims you using?

15 x 7 on 10mm spacers, and yes im sure the fronts are catching... theres rubber missing from the tyre.

lol ok point taken.. only i put 8x16 Porsche rims on mine and got away with it.. but then I didnt put it in the weeds.. :lol:

cool, what suspension have you got? i think i needed the spacers to clear the coilovers really anoying as i do wana go lower. ure not that far from me are there any localish meets going on?

I have some spax stuff not that low tbf.. Worcester cgti meet first tuesday of the month 8pm Berkley arms.. check link..
