vw reflex silver , or vw satin silver, seems to ring a bell, but if your painting the whole wheel you would get a close to original result.
Mk1 2l TSR G60. .getting. There twice as fast
Mk1 lhd diesel…….getting. There for half the cost

reflex and satin are mkiv colours, i'm sure on the old microfilms the parts were on it used to tell u the colour of the wheels. so maybe vw will have the answer.

Hi, I've just redone a set of MIM Raffino and used VW Diamond Silver. I had done them originally in 'alloy wheel paint', but this was miles too dark. They've come out a lot nicer this time, and I'm happy with the way they look. The finish isn't the same as std. P slots though. The diamond silver is slightly 'blue' to my eyes, whereas the P slots are a lot 'whiter'. I think the only way to get a 100% match is to have paint made up especially (?). Here's a pic for comparison. I used 2 coats of paint (over the three coats of 'alloy wheel paint I originally used), and topped off with three coats of clear lacquer :
BTW - if anyone is interested in a set of 'old skool' (!) MIM Raffino's, then drop me a PM !
Cheers,
Mark

i've just looked on etos parts disc it says wheels are paint code 091 crome colour metalic, this still means very little but could be worth contacting a paint stockist.

P Slot refurb
Hi all,
I work in the part dept at my local VW dealer and have looked into this further for you.
The 091 at the end of the part number on ETKA is a colour code but not the code you need to order.
If you quote this part no. at your local dealer they will suply you with a 300 ml spray kit.
Part no. L009104
Hope this helps guys!

Nice one but any chance of the paint codes themselves rather than a product that VW sell ?

Yeah,
If you go into any good paint mixing shop, even Halfords (providing you get a member of staff who has actually been there a while and is not a useless part timer) and qoute VW L091 this should be the right colour, providing VW released it as a proper code like they did the normal colours for cars.
Hopefully they did, as the part numbers for the Scirocco Scala wheels with the colour coded centre's, all end in the colour code of the vehicle i.e. 171601025H (90E) which is alpine white, a very popular VW colour.
Hope this woks out for you all.
