Are you coming to Gaydon?

I voted both days with camping, hopefully will definitely be there.  Hoping to meet a few more of the guys from SWM before then (when I get my mk1 sorted and attend a meet).  Wont have any kids in tow though (as I dont have any), but will have beer.  I read some of the update, but whats the situation on having a bbq?  Can we have our own open fires or is it a no no?

Is it a tent only field, or can I bring my old Dad's classic folding camper from the 60s?

Rubbish at IT so can't post pic at mo, but it is really cool! and looks smart behind the Cabby!

is it a trailer tent, if so I see no reason why you can't bring it. If Its just me going i'll bring my small tent, if I can find some others to come along I have a 12 man 'field hotel'

A convoy sounds like a good idea! My stepdaughter (Rach GTI) will prob bring her cabby too, she's in Cambridge so that works.  

I'll have a go at the pics later (I've spent far too much time here today! need to go and be a good wifey for a while!!!)  :wink:

The camper is a sort of a trailer tent. Its a solid trailer that opens up with polished marine ply body and canvas roof and awning. Its called a chateau mobile, but nobody ever knows what they are because not many were made.

I went camping in Norfolk with my friend and 2 kids. We took;

2 dome tents
4 sleeping bags
2 double airbeds
bags of clothes & towels
footballs & frisbees and stuff
Crab lines, buckets and bacon
2 small polystyrene body boards
Bottles of wine
A bottle of Pimms
A puppy

AND I bought a batik picture roughly 3ft x 2ft
AND we stopped at a nursery and bought some plants on the way back!!!
And I got flashed by a speed camera with the roof down and the picture sticking up off the back seat behind the kids!!!!

(I must admit it was a bit tight!!!)

Glad I can bring the trailer . . . . . . I can pretend I'm 10 again when I go camping in it  :roll:

Me in a pup tent and the wife in the nearest 5 star :posh:
Working on the Sat.  Won't leave Frome to 5, so we'll get there about 7. :roll:
How big is the campsite? Do we need to reserve space? :dontknow:

We're in a 6 acre paddock so should be enough room!! At this stage, no booking required, just turn up.

I'll have a better feel by end of May exactly what's happening, numbers, space etc and will report back!
