It's touch and go at the moment for me  
Spent 3 hours trying to sort the gearbox out but got nowhere fast. Due to the PAS mod the linkage is totally different to the Haynes manual  
Managed to get reverse in the end but now it won't go into 1st or 4th/5th???
(Doesn't help that I adjust the position on the linkage clamp, get out feel the gears, go back under the car, adjust, etc etc ad nauseum.
Why didn't I buy a new car…

Cheers Simon , and key ring keep the faith mate i get a headache everytime i try to do the gearbox linkage its aways the opposite way round to the way you think it is and it always surprises me how much difference a small tweek makes .

Don't worry Geezer - I love her really  (even if she is a tempestuous mistress who leads me a merry dance  :wink: ).
Now have reverse, third, fourth and fifth. I'm closing in…

i am sorry to all for not being at the meet today but unfortunatly i have been under my golf allday trying to get to the bottom of a fuelling problem still haven`t cracked it but i will be there next month although it might be via a car transporter

Had me going for a moment cause 11.29pm would be a bit late to set off even for me . Will be there Daisy but i might have to tow the mk1 its not behaving itself , probaly the fact thats its had to do 1200 miles this week for work . I'll try to get Chris to come along with the GLC (goldie looking cab) .
