Ahh… brings back happy memories from 5 years when I did mine.

If its not too late stick labels on everything and use freezer bags to store screws/nuts/bolts/clips etc. They come with ties and white boxes to label them, ideal.

Also make lots of notes although with a digital cameras its probably just as easy to take lots of pics these days.

Isn?t it amazing how much space all the stuff takes up when its not all fastened together in a MK1 shape.

good work - rust in the usual places - repair panels are easy to get!

if your working outside - get a can of zinc primer and any fresh cut steel etc won't rust on ye!

Good to see you have a Magic Tree too! Doesn't look too bad! Has it been left standing at all? Mine has been sat since 2002 (I bought it last year)and that's what has done the worst damage.

Euro car Parts  do pattern wheel arches, although IMO not the best quality or fit.. they need a bit more work to get them on

Also try www.perfectpanels.co.uk. Quality is similar to the Euro Carparts ones, but seem to be cheaper - filler neck panel ?7 from Hadrian panels, quoted ?14 by Euro Carparts.

Question: How does the fuel tank come out? do i need to remove the rear beam??? :dontknow:

cheers Dips

Think you have to remove the rear beam to get the tank out. But be carfull the mounting studs don't snap off when undoing the nuts.
Also you may want to leave it to last as you want to keep the car mobile if you are geting the body work done elseware.
Looks like you got a lot of rust to deal with.
