definatly a very interesting part, I have a better picture, it conneted on a 90 degree angled braket off the head, it's definatly not a Digifant system as there is no CAT and the control head is black, I have read the digifant one is silver and has wires going to it.

The mk2s had those to switch the radiator fan on if the cylinder head overheated when the engine was switched off.  That was why there was a warning that the fan could start after the engine was switched off.
