Never been much of a jag or mini fan but i always wince when they push all those rare cars 'over the edge' even the little fiat police cars are worth a packet now . Couldent resist an italian job mini though you would have to ask if the spotlamps were quartz iodine .
It always amazes me that British leyland refused to give the producers less that trade price on the cars they bought .

Seen that boat chase but can't remember where from .  :banghead:

I have an issue of the Club gentlemans magazine from 1970 with an interview with Steve mcQueen, if I can find it after moving house on Wednesday I'll bring it along!

Well then you'll be pleased (and fairly surprised, if you're thinking like me) to hear that the E-type Jaguar that gets attacked by the digger, and has it's (convertible) roof ruined, and windscreen frame completely destroyed, was fully rebuilt, and survives today.

Thats impressive work i bet they had to replace the shock absorbers , Is that the one with the CRY reg plate . As i said dont like em much but i appreciate all rare/restored cars as its either a labour of love or very deep pockets time to maintain them .You still see nice/rare cars getting trashed  quite often in films , and its usually a Vw . The only car i dont like is the volvo 340 , usually i can find something i like in any car  (funky clocks , weird lights etc) but the 340 lacks anything worthy of note ,luckily no-one else seems to like them either so you dont see many about these days .

Can't anyone remember the boat chase film as its driving me nuts . :banghead:
