Any Meets Near the Bershie area

Any coming up meets in or around the berkshire area!!!!!  8)

I'm in Berkshire  

don't see many Mk1's around these parts.. where in Berkshire are you?

not sure on meets at the mo as I refuse to go to any till my car's finished!

I am in maidenhead i have never been to any meet as yet although i did have 2 MK1 's which i have now sold.

there's nothing VW specific in Berkshire that I've heard of..

get yourself to the Mk1 owners meet in August though  :wink:

I'm in Reading!

In the mean time there is the No-Rice, general Watercooled meet at Fleet services everymonth

I'd be interested in a once per month weekday evening meet in the reading area if anyone else is?

In fact this morning (~8:30)  a Black mk1 GTI, totally std (inc silver stripes etc…) pulling out of the road next to mine! (Central Reading).  And have seen a Lhasa Green one parked a few houses down a few weeks ago.

I went and had a good look round it of course! Would be rude not to!

Have Seen a couple of GTI's In Maidenhead do know if the guys are members of this site.

Will good to have a meet Localy though!!!!

Anyone want to nomonate a pub?  Some great ones around the Walingford-Reading zone - and some great roads to have some fun on  

Anywhere with good parking  :wink: there's a nice pub on the way to Basingstoke from Reading after the A33 (or is it the A30.. can't remember) but a little out the way for most… any suggestions??

hopefully I'll have mine sorted in the next few weeks.. as long as it passes the MOT  :pray: need to pull my finger out though!

Have just spoken to my mate whos from just south of reading and also a car nut, apparently theres a pub where the Calibra Club meets up (ie food and appropriate car park etc, not that there will ness be many of us) just off the A33, just south of the J11, M4.

Am investigating further….sounds ideal so far.

It's got a pretty big car park, called the Jekyl and Hyde

I guess we now need to decide on when to meet up & who is planning to come in…….

Can't seem to find the pub on a map - J11 M4?

Only Jekyll and Hyde I can find in the area is in Hook.

Anyway - I'm up for a weekday evening slot during the summer
