But wasn't the original tyre a 70 profile? If so then a 60 profile would be lower profiled! :wink:

Mine are 70s, and yeah they fill the arches ok, but just thought Kins' looked good lower and slightly wider looking aswell. I'll bear it in mind when I get new ones. Cheers! :wink:

The 185 is the width in mm, the 60 is the tyre wall depth (profile) expressed as a % of the width. Therefore 185/60 are wider than 175/70, but have a lower profile (60% of 185 is 111mm whereas 70% of 175 is 122mm). The GTI originally came with 175/70/13 tyres.
