Is it just me or are you mad too?

does anyone else find that their golf has it's own personality , and so end up giving your car a name?  i am currently driving Shirley (named after previous owner)  and Sylvia a silver campaign.  please confirm it's not just me, hang on better go and answer the door there's some men in white coats walking down my path……. 8O

my gl auto is called Evie- the previous owner told me when i got her!!
il prob end up with a name for the gx when i actually get to drive it

I call mine by the three letter word on the number plate…and no, nothing rude!    I've done it with all my cars…I once had a Fiat 126 or Fid as I liked to call it (my mates called it 'The Beast' :twisted: ) and if you spoke to it nicely it would get you out of a fix (i.e - not break down/fail to start in middle of nowhere!) It works!  ops:

Mine's nicknamed the 'Tie Fighter'  (numberplate TYE)

Previous Mk1 was called 'Wivvy' (numberplate WVH96Y)

Previous Mk2 was called Boeing (numberplate 747)

Wifes old Mk1 was called 'Chortle' (strange noise from the carb)

No names for me, simply the white one or the blue one, etc. Do swear at them a lot though in a   moment!

It's funny - my Fiats have names (Barry & percy!) but none of the others do???  Oh and the camper's called Dave  8)

Girlfriend wanted to name the GTI when we got it, soon put a stop to that. Know them as 'The GTI' and 'The blue one', 'The C' isn't so catchy   .
