Thanks man. Was making good progress but think I've gotta take the gearbox back out this weekend. Engines not turning over very quickly. Like a flat battery but tested it and it's good. 

Engine turned lovely before I fitted the clutch and gearbox and don't remember if I turned it by hand again before putting it all back in the car. Oops! 

Hopefully it's clutch / box related as I really don't want to take engine all apart again! 

I'm in Southampton but as soon as it's ready I'll be taking it to shows for sure….. that is if I don't go broke or set it on fire before it's finished!!
