So another couple of days on the car…… not as far on as I wanted to be but still some good progress.

All underneath and inner arches sprayed with a few coats of L90E and really happy with the results!

Then replacing the corroded brake line and starting to get ready for the fuel tank, axle then I can start bolting on the shiny bits

Well another long day in the garage after spending yesterday flaring brake pipes and getting the axle and anti roll bar together - So fuel tank back on and had to take off as I forgot to fit the heat shield to it (thought I could fit after but not), fuel pump and pipe work done and axle back on the car.

Suspension now coming together and even managed to test fit the exhaust back box….. can't wait to get this bolted back together and off for the paint in September!!

Good work, not sure if it's the angle of the dangle of the pic but the gavity valve thingy looks to be on its side?

Looking very clean and tidy! Lucky man to have a ramp to use. I was scrabbling around on my back putting my pump and accumulator back in.
Do you have any details on the rubberised epoxy you mention?
Keep up the good work!

Well the spray seal isn't an epoxy - I thought it was but see the pics below - about 14 pound a tube but great finish… and yes the ramps a god send!!!!!

Back in there this Friday for finishing back brakes assembly then onto the front to try and get it rolling.

Another night of progress….. wishbones and Coilovers on the front and even started to look at the discs (will be cleaning those up and getting the callipers done - But disaster with the rear hub as the thread in the nut is damaged so ordered today with Funkstar…. hopefully a speedy delivery then it'll be rolling!!! Not sure on the red back plates and need to get the driveshafts painted as I'd totally forgotten about them so looks like it'll be brush on hammerite for them!!

Looking good...
Glad to see you have put the brake calliper dust shield on the right way round as seen a few threads before with them fitted the other way as you would think the wrong way was right…..

Cheers Mark - Not sure on the red but need touching up.. now they are on not changing the colour as enough to do finishing it to get it rolling and then get the bodywork prepped!

As someone else has said the good thing about lockdown will be some shiny cars!!

I'd say if you aren't sure on the red, change it now, otherwise its a hub out of bearing job. I have no back plates on mine as they were completely knackered and I could be bothered buying new ones 15 odd years ago when I put the hubs in the bearings. If I was doing it now, I'd have fitted them, but no way I'm taking a hub out just to do a back plate.

So a few final days spent putting some bits back together to get it rolling and off the ramps ready for the bodywork - been up at high level for so long forgot just how low it sits - With the added help of lowering coilovers now….. but not scraping the arches!!!

Bodywork next so quite a bit more to do before September!!

Well not posted in a long while as been busy helping a mate set up and install his Dano for air cooled engine builds and performance set up - Currently building a Porsche 914 engine for Drew Pritchard for his car show.

So back to it this coming weekend to finish off the last bits of brakes/gearbox linkage and then final prep for bodywork before spray. Need to get this done for summer as missed too many and to get ready for the meet ups and shows.

Will get some of the latest images up later
