A PILLAR GUTTER TRIM FITTING

Hello mate, been in the garage and found the offending item, I'm not one to cause friction but I'm not sure if the original trim would have been bonded on as they seem to have a core of stainless running through them ( which would explain why it's a b**ch to fit ) I'll pull my old ones of later and let you know. Anyway here's some pics, sorry if the stainless is hard to see, iPhone 5 lol

Ok cool so do the new one's have metal inside? If so heating them won't help I wouldn't have thought. I'm only guessing at stainless as a magnet doesn't stick.its only a guess but I would think looking at the shape at the top you start there which will open it up and then squeeze it on down the pillar arriving at the bottom if that makes any sense. I'm out at the moment but when I get home I'll give it a try and let you know

Personally I have never seen metal inserts on these, well over here that is, they are all plastic….

Could be that the channel has been collapsed a wee bit.

I have replaced tops on 80-93 cabbies, and never ever seen metal ones…..

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Although if it's stainless and you could remove the black plastic and give them a polish .. that could look jazzy
