Really sad to hear this, he was one of the old skool, a proper Mk1 Golf enthusiast.  

Hi All

Thank you so much for all the kind words and messages , Jeremy in life would never would have believed in a million years that so many of you have such respect and love for him , I simple hard working guy from South London and a Mk1 have created a impact on passing that only celebrities or the elite normally do.

His Fiancee Sarka And Little Ones Anthony & Amira and His Mum are humbled by the thousands of posts messages and tributes.

I was truly blessed to met him over 25 years ago and our joint passion for Mk1's instantly created a bond that lasted a lifetime, I was proud to call him my brother and stand beside him in good times and bad  I will let you all know when the funeral takes place and we will do some sort of tribute meet for him in the near future.

R.I.P 1964 - 2016

 

An absolute gentleman and Mk1 fanatic. When I got my mk1 he came round and went through all his old pics of my car with its previous owner. Sat here hours chatting cars like we'd know each other for years and we'd only just met. 
Always on the phone to offer advise or help source bits or just to chat. 
Sad loss to the community for sure.

I never got to meet Jeremy, just had a few exchanges with him on here or the Facebook page. Could tell he was a top bloke though.

The OC played a massive part of his life and he was on its since the early days so I feel you are all family and are all welcome to attend

10am : Church Service at St Andrews URC Church, Brockley Road, SE4 2SA

12pm : Interment at Grove Park Cemetery, Marvels Lane, SE12 9PU

4-10pm : Tribute & Celebration Of Jeremy's Life at Tudor Livesey Memorial Hall, 225 Perry Hill, SE6 4HD, with food and drinks.

Please do not bring or send flowers please put money towards below collection for his two young ones.

I had the pleasure in meeting Jerry on the 2nd London cruise with sanj amit Simon and few others, he instantly came up and said hello and we started chatting cars. My thoughts go to his family and friends and a great man leaves the mk1 community. R.I.P bud. I will take the car for a drive on the 10th around Auckland.

Just to let you all know, every single penny we collect from this years raffle will be going to Jeremy's family for a trust fund for his two kids.
