2E2 1800 EX engine on LPG

the way you are doing so is correct, it may just be the weather is too mild for it to stay closed for any decent length of time :)

they shouldn't be! the heater gets an ignition live feed as I mention above.

the thermoswitch for the rad fan after-run is wired to the after-run relay only, it triggers the relay to run the fan if the ignition is off and the carb gets to a certain temperature.

the thermoswitch switches to earth thru the carb body, so if you have an ignition live to it the fuse will pop whenever the carb gets hot!

I see

I can wire the heater in - I have those doing nothing at the moment

The thermoswitch goes to pin 5 at the radiator control unit

Finally getting there :)

Final question though - is there a way to test the TTV ?

Last item I can't get to function !

On the other hand - wouldn't be the carb heater be removed to accomodate for the LPG ?

What does it heat or move while heating / heated ?

I don't have that radiator control unit - is that possble ?

Just wires to the radiator 3 pin switch and to the fan - of course some wires out of the bulkhead to the switch/radiator fan

its possible, but if you ever have to switch back to petrol running it would cause issues. possibly hook up some kind of relay to kill power when the lpg system is active?

with the fan system you have the relay above the fusebox, which is triggered by the thermoswitch. then theres a wire from the relay to a spade located on the red/white wire between the thermoswitch and the fan, if theres nothing plugged into that then your after-run system has been stripped off for whatever reason

To be honest I really think there is no control unit at all

The wires are still in there OG harness - no plg or splice on the red/white thick wire from the thermoswitch at the bottom of the radiator to the fan

I have just 2 wires going to the fan in one uncut harness

This diagram you used I guess

Ok - will try the carb heater to see if it changes anything

Finally understand how it all works

Thank rubjonny for your answers
