What would you pay for this original 1.6 GTI with 16k miles?

Expansion tank?

After research, a passenger wing mirror was an optional extra. I think it's quite quirky how this car doesn't have the passenger wing mirror as most have been added with one at a later period.

For the cooling system, the yellowy plastic tank with the black cap on it, back right in the engine bay.

Yes, unusual on the mirror, I don't recall seeing a series 2 GTI without one.

Knew someone who had a 1981 on a W back in 1983 and his had the red line around.

the switches for Fogs, HRW and Hazards are strange in that they are LHD ones I think, the symbols should be on the left hand side of the switches, like this


 

Well spotted on the switches and expansion tank.

Perhaps the rhd switches weren't ready and the expansion tank is different to later series 2's but I suspect correct for this car.

Love the centre speaker as well
