I know a guy with the D2 racing kit on his mk1 and the front air bags are quite big, he's had to replace one due to the wheel rubbing on the bag, (standard width and offset rm's)
I've just fitted a second hand bss air ride kit on my mk1 with 2 way manual, handles a bit 'boaty' Definitely worth getting though
I'm rimming 7j teledials with 20mm adaptors with 165 50 15s. What do you think???

Personally, I'd spend the extra and go with a digital management purely for the ease of adjustment, fitting and they're a bit more precise than having to glance at gauges when you're wanting to drop it as you can pre-set your ride heights and at the touch of a button it goes to that position. I'm tempted with it again for the Mk1 when the time comes.

I'm going for decent static coilover drop as I'll be more fast road/track.
If it's more of a show car then air is the way.
Then if going air you want digital management really, I have it on my Range Rover sport and its really good.
I'm looking at getting a t5 next and that will have v2 air control. It's more complicated to fit as there are level sensors but it automatic just have three preset settings.
