previous owners had converted to electric windows  but the motors had seized so they had to come out  


back to good old windy windows  

i have nothing to say about this

little bit TFR hot steam cleaner  and a fresh tin of WD40

i went for 195 /45 /16  they had to space the front for the calliper but that was  it , the tyres looked stretched looks pretty cool  

next job was to paint the grille  until i make my mind up on what i am doing with it  ,  and find a GTI badge  , and smoke the front indicators also the wipers are rusty and flaking paint

touch of scotch bright  and some satin black  and a badge  

next rusty wiper  " excuse my sleepy little Harry  "







again scotch bright  320 disc  and satin black aerosol  

then finally the smoked  lenses  sort of fishes the front end off  " for this summer "

old chrome "brown" strip has past its sell by date  







replaced with a new one from vw heritage

But my mate who fitted the chrome trim runs a window fitting company and has advised me to get a new screen as it just a hardened glass screen   ……upside i get a green tinted screen with blue sunstrip
