Little update. Now have the replacement engine - kr with 96k one owner ad full history. Dude who had it was awesome, and even delivered it in his splitty!

Started to take the injection off, and mocked the carbs up.

Small update.

I was never happy with running 165/40's but as they were brand new and came with the wheels I thought I'd leave them like that for a while.

However, with the condition of the local roads and worrying about damaging the wheels I changed them to a 195/40.

I never thought it would make such a massive difference. Car is so much more fun to drive.

Nice find looks lovely although not 100% sure on the face mounted bbs

Just 1 question what made you go for fc purcer London dealer kit when the originals were cleeve motors from Gloucester?

The only thing that let down the car was the bonnet. I managed to source a brand new genuine bonnet that had also been sprayed in mars red.

Typical battery ran out before I could take a fitted picture.

That was a lucky find then! Is the colour match ok?

Colour match is spot on. Small update, I fancied a single headlight grill, and also changed the lower spoiler for the smaller type.

Think you've done the right thing with the single grill and smaller spoiler, much better look imo

Just treat myself to a bargain of a steering wheel. A rare BBS retrimmed in Alcantara with red stitching.

Fitted some red/gold centres. Next I want to strip the wheels and paint the faces black.
