(loads of pic)
Hey guys been meaning to put a build up for ages. I will let the picture do the talking. (some pics are not in order but you get the idea)
Pick up the car, it has been sitting near my dad work for ages so my dad ask if the owner would like to sale it. He said YES!!!!!
A friend picked it up and took it to our work.
Started stripping it down and having a good look whats needed.
Had the car on ramp and see how bad it was underneath, Amazing not much!!!
Wings off two holes on OSF side
Cut bit of the rot see the inner sill.
Order boot full of parts from Classic VW, VW heritage and Ebay.
Took the paint of front and rear panel to see what the mater was like under it.
Cut a bit of rot on rear wheel tub
Tank out
Removed any rust with a poly wheel.
Took the paint off the sills.
Heritage Wings Prep and hole welded up.
Cut the rot out time Mark out the rot area and cut
Not as bad as I thought
Brushed rust treatment, and sheet it up over night (Doors and tailgate off)
See it working sort off
Tailgate checked.
Had to get a drivers door, one I got was from Spain rust free but loads of small dents!!! Paint all off then with use of Evercoat Ultra light skim.

Doesn't look too bad. Good progress so far
This maybe a daft question but will you not have issue doing some of those repairs whilst support the shell on the lift on its rusty sills? Or is that just for the inspection?
