**New part added: 12/05/2015** - Name that part

Ladies and Gents,

We thought we'd make your Mondays a little bit more fun by introducing a little game for you all, so how well do you know your MK1's, can you name the part below? and what's the worst case here, we all may learn something.

There will be some prizes involved, because we're nice like that - you have until Friday 10am to get your guesses in, new part on this thread every Monday..

Yes I agree, but possibly off a series 1 as on mine the part number is stamped in a different place, possibly for 1980 five door GLS driven by a man with a limp.

BTW 36thcrazyfist I think this is a great idea, won't have a clue most of time  but keeps us entertained, if you can keep the floppy top stuff down to a minimum though, saves us having to be polite to the likes of Mike by showing an interest.

part number  171827505E ?. I should have noticed it started with 1718 duh      

I can't take credit for the game Rich, it was Hairyarse 's idea and jellybelly 's photo- I'm just the front man haha

I'm not sure we have enough time to give out anymore prizes Dan, it's about a 4 hour long give away as it is with all the raffle stuff haha.

Anyways, it was of course a bootlatch, well done to hubbadubba (who got there in the end ) We will sort you a prize out from the shop and I'll PM you the details (I haven't thought about it and week goes by quick! golfcabrio - you know this better than anyone I guess!)
