a slow moving project

it s been a wile since last post, i have a couple of parts cut down from my long list.

Steering wheel added, CAE shifter added, dashboard added.

The body it s mint, will be out of the painters shop before christmas.

Last week in the paint shop, last  coat of test color, 99% of my manillagreen dream is near to finnishing.

yersterday,  as th wheather was sunny, i drag the body out, the see it in natural light, looks pretty god.

The interior and exterior was the prep for  the manillagreen color.

To manage to get this paint code in 1K is a nightmare, but i finaly did it.  5 years in the making and is finaly painted.

thx for the kind remarks.

Fast forword, it pedal to the metal on the build, as the first show is around the corner.

The tires just arrived, my option was a semi-slick from FEDERAL RS-R size 195-50-R15, The wheels are up and it's looks crazy.

We started work on the wiring, and on the haltech set-up, turns out Haltech can't provide us with a base-map for 1.8T VAG engines.

Big update,


the golf was send off to haltech mapping, it's been a hell of a ride and it's still not over.

thx for the appreciation, all good the car has idle, revs to 5000 rpm for the moment, with a lot of work will be ready for the e38 show in the summer.

It's been a blast, the car runs  perfect, been attending a local meeting called Eurocar, lots of fun.

The car sits in the garage now :D

well guys, i didn't post from a long time.

Sincer the last post i managed to broke the engine because of sandblasting the intake and the intecoler pipes, powder coted them black, nobody told me to wash them :))) so all the sand went into the head.
Everything had to be brand new again.
New: Oil pump, new con rods, new pistons, new head, new K04-023

Instead of goind to E38 show i end'd up  stayind in the garage.

the spring is here so are the parts, half cage in, building the cars for the  wsee in mai, and edition38 show summer edition.
