The problem with twin pass intercoolers is that they are a lot more inefficient than a straight through one. The air has to turn through 180 degrees which will increase the pressure drop experienced across it and therefore reduce the flow rate that the charger can push through it. So you might get cooler air but it will not reach the cylinders fast enough to be of any use.

I think the name of this type of intercooler makes them sound a good way to go, but in reality they are usually used when space constrains and you want the inlet and outlet on the same end.

Technically they are all aftercoolers and not intercoolers - lol - i'll get my coat

Well the engine I have is JezzaG60's old one and it used a twin pass to produce over 300bhp so its not all doom and gloom ;)

Love the aftercooler comment… sort of thing I'd come out with so I'll grad me coat as well!

  Getting there then :).  Have you any idea how long there going to have the car and costs involved with the mapping as ill be doing the same as yourself.

JMR will have it for the day.. As for costs I have no idea at this stage.
I'm hoping for around 300bhp
