Hi Lhasa,
Yes the height is right biggest problem with this height is my exhaust at the back !!!
He let me know when am in the neighbourhood with deadly speed bumbs the love them in Holland  :(Here you can see what i mean with the exhaust as one of the lowest points of my car.

I assume you could re-position the rear box, less euro style and more OEM style :o ;)

Hey Peter,

As I said before, your car looks fantastic. I own an 1989 VW Golf GTI Cabriolet, but needs some restoration.
The car drives, taxed etc, but I want to bring that classic car back to it's glory!. However, I want to keep as original as possible
  • New front and rear brakes, drums, cables, springs, shoes etc
  • New clutch and clutch release bearing
  • Stainless steel from manifold to tailpipe
  • Refurbish original BBS alloys- Just put in brand new set of falken tyres  last week.
  • Full engine tuning and perhaps replacing some old parts with new ones- not running smoothly
  • Engine and transmission should be the  main focus
  • Lower the front suspension to keep levelled with rears- Just needs adjusting
  • Hand brake light do not come on
  • Revs counter jumps up and down when driving
  • When the doors are open the interior light do not come on
  • Driver's door locking doesn't seem to work very well
  • Full coach respray
  • New windscreen wipers (sandblast original windscreen arms)
  • Trim front, rear seats:wub:and door cards to leather
If you know anybody who is interest to take on this project please let me know. The funds is available

I'm not a fan of Porsche logos on a Golf, but the wheels don't look too bad at all ;)
