Skoda Felicia Fun

Destined for Daily Duties

Progress on the skoda is still moving forward, but the prep and painting of the bumpers etc has joined the queue as other projects in the garage have reached that stage.

Trim painted and handles etc being fitted

Replacement windscreen now in

New air filter, rotor arm and dizzy cap fitted

Front bumper skin and grill now on

I came across a 49000 mile felicia in the scrap yard which has since donated its screen, fogs, steering wheel, gear knob, gear gaitor, speaker grills, fuel pump, relays, wipers and various nuts bolts and screws.
Gave the bottom yellow section a clean to see how it would come up.

Tonight I was in and fitted a few bits an bobs which included a rear strut and a 60mm lowering spring.
For some reason only one strut came so that was that

Got some essentials yesterday that will be required for the mot… Well apart from the red bits

Disks, pads, shocks, timing belt, tensioner, exhaust rubbers just waiting on the water pump now.

Pick up a felicia estate tail pipe cover on eBay

One side done fitted new zinc nuts and bolts to.

Glad I got new pads as the old ones just fell to bits!

Im dying to see one on the road :)  Iv only seen one in the scrappy and i seen one in the dealers when new. Hoping to finish work early today as the bumpers are getting done this morning. So be good to get more on it. I'm trying to take full advantage of it being under cover. Nothing makes me smile more than when it rains and I'm working inside  my mk1 has no room round about it now and I think if I dug that out il not be allowed it back in… I was just about to get some stuff from Newton commercial then this happend

Another busy weekend

It was going to go back to the original black and yellow but it's been decided going two tone like the body would be better!

The second tone might get done tomorrow

Another busy day and night for the guys
I walked in the yard and Keg was sitting proud outside… :)

Roof was a lot of work in the end

Polished up and finished

Glad we decided to go with the 2 tone again and not the factory yellow and black!

Then it came in for the night shift where the tailgate, spoiler, rear lights  and bumper got fitted.
How it sits tonight

Very nice job especially in such a quick time scale.

What's the steering wheel like? That's usually the first thing to lose all the yellow colour what with builders rough hands.

I wonder what happened to the VR6 powered one that was at GTI International in about 98?

This engine will be staying 45mpg ;)

Iv fitted a standard black steering wheel, gear knob and gaitor. Also speaker grills and glove box lid were changed as they were painted yellow :o It's going to get seat covers to as I'm not keen on the yellow inside. Only the sunvisors and handbrake handle are staying…
