still can't quite believe how much I lucked out with ma cabby being as solid on the underside as it is considering I paid so little for it! :)

once I spent three days under it with a scrubbing brush to remove all the groute it was almost like factory fresh!! (weird colour tho… now waxoiled!)

got my home made stub axle spacers on as well... expertly fashioned from a pair of stub axles which were blagged from a guy who was chucking a mk2 rear beam and promptly chopped by myself with mr disc cutter! :)

cheers man… like to get it done right the first time so won't have to be mucking about for a while once it's all back together!

just noticed that other than myself posting the odd update there only seems to be like two peeps that are posting on my build thread that I have not met as yet… beeno and hairyarse, whats up with the rest of the O.C. ?
I don't expect everyone to be looking at what I am upto but would be nice if a little interest was shown from time to time and maybe some encouragement seeing as this is my first build of any car ever! hehehe :)

It seems to happen sometimes mate, I think people like looking at the pics and forget to post!!

It's a cracking job, especially for your first. There's nothing better than bolting new bits back on a car, looks cracking ;)

Come-on folks, share your comments

carbs came up a treat…

but I sold 'em on ebay last week as I have been told by quite a few different people who deal with carbs that that particular type are difficult to tune as they are very type specific and were developed for rootes group cars (Talbot sunbeam) so I have bought a pair of dcoe 40 type 151 weber's from a trader on ebay and he's gunna je-jet them to my car's spec! :)
