Thx for the welcome guys. Im really looking forward to this project and I'm out at the garage every night getting on with bits and bobs - it will take ages but that will only add to the fun.

@ Brad & early-1800, great that you guys are close by, are there local meets?

@ Brad.. sorry you probably already know the answer and unfortunately it is too rare to sell so will be keeping it.

That all sounds good. Original fabric you wont generally find but the fact it is hounds tooth not velour may make it easier to get a like for like.

Look forward to your build thread and lots of pics!  :cool:

The Derbyshire lot occasionally have meets/runs out and only 20mins down the M1.

carlettof , oh my that is really lovely!! Is that Miami or Florida blue? Also, your tail lights are different to those on mine (white on the inside), are they from different swallowtail models or are yours tinted?

They are called "postie" rear lights ,early swallows had them….not sure of the "postie" ref think something to do with German postal service vehicles?!
Miami blue…
also my badges are different way round to yours on the rear…mine been a 75 and yours a later 76
