79 s1 sleeper project

This is where it began, first pics I saw of it before going to have a look





these next pics are when I went to have a look………it was love at first sight










so now she is back home and ready for a new life

and that's it for now, engine to be removed in the forth coming wks from donor
engine bay and inside of car being scotch bright and cleaned as we speak
hopefully by the end of this wk I got spray guy coming to have a look and tell me when he can fit in

mammoth mission, but I know it's all going to be worth it it the end…….

Is it a gti originally? 

Looks solid apart from the roof situation 

Remember seeing this on ebay, was going to put a bid on but the missing rain tray put me off Good look with it, I shale be watching this one.

Looks like the start of a great project

Used to be a sunroof model but had a new skin put on, non sunroof……result

I know what you mean know, been looking at a lot of s1 pics, and I can tell what you mean..
I going to be sorting that out straight away, already found donor

need a bit of a tidy up but they'll come right
I'm thinking polished outer lip, Mexico beige centres with polished centre hex nuts…..

Full respray in Pepper grey
2.0l 16v ABF transplant
Polish and respray centre of wheels in Mexican beige or mouse grey
Stock interior, maybe edition 30 front seats
And a super sprint exhaust system

Sounds quality. Good luck with it all. Most of all have fun with it. 😀
