1st dance song

Right,
I am due to get married this July, been planning for ages (well the other half has) and the only real task I have been charged with is to organise a 1st dance song.
Now, being a ripe old age of 28, (she is 27), we are pretty happy with any music from 90's - current, and both like most sorts of music. (no death metal)
I can name most songs that come on the radio and know the tunes etc to sing along to, (badly mind you), but when it comes to thinking of a song that we can have as a 1st dance
I can't think of anything at all, (except the proclaimers, or other comedic songs) which is now not pleasing the other half.

I am after some inspiration here guys and gals. so any suggestions are welcome and will be considered.

coldplay - scientist, yellow
klangkarussell - sonnentanz (the sun don't shine)
Josh rouse - its the nightime

I was listening to John Legend - ordinary people earlier at the gym…slow version (don't ask). Good choice if you ask me.

john legend is good and one of our joint fav artists, but it is an overplayed wedding song, and was kind of hoping for a song that isn't too wedding cliche.

My mate had Aerosmith don't want to miss a thing, that went down well. I had Aqualung strange and beautiful (didn't discuss what the song is supposed to be about), but was very tempted by death cab for cutie with I will follow you into the dark - that's a bit more alternative mind and the Mrs didn't like the second line. Or the Editors Push your head toward the air, but that's a very long song.

We had our first dance to Billy Joel - Just The Way You Are and out last dance to Barry White - Just The Way You Are. A bit cheesy maybe but it worked for us and that was 20 years ago this year !!

I'd suggest anything by Barry White. Shows you're cool, sophisticated and know what lurrrrve is all about.

Your ages have nothing to do with great music in my opinion.
Don't forget not everyone at the Wedding is the same age as you, your parents for example.

But the title of Genesis song 'Follow, follow me' both my wife and myself have that engraved on the inside of our Wedding rings!  

My honest advice is choose what you both love and s0d the rest, it's your Wedding day after all!
