Nice job on the gearbox, looks like new
cheers pal, yeah im happy with the results
, so today i dragged the crane outside so i could gunk the block,
was a right state around the filter housing , and thick of oil
but after an hours work it was clear of oil, so i dried what i could off with an old t shirt and put it back in the garage so it could dry overnight , then tomorrow ill be cracking the drill out with the wire wheel and getting the block rust free as i can before painting it
here's a few pics

Looking good, I like the crackle black paint. Engine bay looked such a mess when you got it!
cheers , yeah its a mess, cant wait to chop the plates out from the rubbish atempt at a smoothed bay,
and get cracking once its been dipped
well not much happened lately as been waiting to clear the garage out and get the golf in , well thats happened , but now im off on holiday 2moro for a week, however ive now got the steel to build the roll over jig, so soon as im back, its all systems go to get its built so i can finish stripping it so it can go for any welding before going for dipping

it says 24 hrs to touch, 48 to reasemble , but its still soft to touch now and thats been done over 3 week its like rubbery, its doesnt go rock hard
the spread of the spray is tiny , not like a normal tin of spray, so watch for runs ,
i got a couple on the inlet, nothing major and there underneath so not too fussed
