Hello again.
Unfortunately, I have been busy with lots of other things for a long time.
Build the are moving forward after all.
Last I did was to cut out for the "open air" hatch and removed the last rust in the floor where the stands stood so
now it is completely rust free :).
Began to look a little on the steering servo parts, do not really know how I should solve this.
Want servo and seems to be hard to find this from a cab, but if anyone has a complete installation with the
steering shaft , pump and steering gear incl. all consoles, Send a pm.
Shall start leveling down the roof and sides next.
Engine build is progressing as well.
Waiting for clutch and some other things then it will be put back in.
The turbo have been at Turboservice and been overhauled and now feel good again.
A little awkward to fit an intercooler and oil cooler in the front.
Try with different setups at the moment and i will find a setup that works evetually.
over n out

Hello.
Now I've finally got the roof job done.
There is a big difference in the curvature of a polo and golf mk1 roof.
Overall, it is 3cm difference in the roof at the front and rear 2cm.

Front

rear

Anyone who thinks that the polo open air roof is easy to get there are so wrong.
The Twingo roof is very easy to install.
If you do not have access to a weld and want a large sunroof etc should choose Twingo roof.

After a lot of measuring and adjusting it became like this after 8 hours of work.

Along the side

Now this shall be welded, etc.

Could not do this yesterday but restored my fuelfiller pipe that was shitty.
Dull image, but think you have seen such before. :)

New plate at the top, changing some tube sections and weld, grind and paint as usual.
But I'm happy with the result.

The all for today.
