Bay plans are probably some subtle smoothing not too much though, just enough to look neat, the engine will be tucked.

It will worse thats cleaned up and still looks terrible

Looking forward to seeing where this goes, i got half way through a smooth bay before i discovered them wire wheels for the grinder, makes removing the sealer so much easier :)

Finally got round to get some pictures and finishing the final part of the strip. All we have now is the steering column as one can't be bothered to tackle those bolts with no heads on!!

Got rid of the tired factory sound deadening, had a few little treats hiding under it all which will be dealt with very soon

Started to strip this back, ready to smooth, such a boring job.

Also picked up a little treat on the way too

More engine bay stripping to start tomorrow and hopefully finish it all. Then on to the rusty parts…

Also need a complete GTi loom if anyone knows of anyone with one.

Haven't updated in a while, but have quite a bit of progress lately

A few more parts on the bay still need to be removed, the little bracket on the o/s and the rest of the coolant bracket. Then get round to start smoothing

Stripped the engine down, oil needs removing then can take the filter/cooler housing off. Then start the rebuild on it
