Full Resto
Here's my mk1. Ive had it a few months now but only now managed to get somewhere to store & restore it. A few previous owners have been cowboys. Apart from looking ok-ish its a little bit sorry for itself with some cheap nasty rust patch fixes.
I was let loose on it for a day and well this was the outcome
Plans are back to a blank canvas. then new paint, engine etc etc

They're 9's
haven't quite decided yet, but i want it to be reliable so will probably head down the 20vt route although its the most common conversion it seems. Will just have find some differences so its not like the rest

They're great those piranha type discs. I bought two and the first one is still far from being worn out!

Yea I know a guy who redone the underside of his mk3 which had previously been resealed, so was extra thick he used two and half and that was for bay, four wheel arches and the underside.
Mines all original so should just flake off I'm hoping

Been busy lately, but still progress
Cut the remains of the rain tray, battery tray, washer and coolant bottle holder as the previous just cut the majority out and thought it would do.
Took the funky brake servo set up off and gave that a massive clean ready to be powder coated along with engine mounts, rear axle, steering rack bush clamp's.
Stripped the disc set up I managed to pick up, all in good working order, just need carriers refurbished and callipers painted.
Slowly coming along, Will put pictures up when I've got more time.
