Hmmmm….. Seems as though I'm gonna have to do it the long way later lol

right….lets start this from the beginning . full respray and some body work needed doing

then the paint to go with the theme of the car went on.











she came out looking like this then went on the truck back to the garage.

after it came back to the garage i had to start re building it.

made some rear door cards up as the standard Gti ones would have looked odd,


installed a new roof lining. (still needs a hair dryer over it to tighten it up)



new grill and red trim, headlights fitted and wired up. (can see the cheeky intercooler )




all the glass is now fitted. all new seals with the glass too



all the interior trim is now in. sun visors. rear view mirror. grab handles. interior light.





the aftermarket sunroof has been sealed up thanks to my friends awesome skills lol





and that's how she sits at the moment. just waiting for the new carpet to arrive. the roll cage to arrive. got to order the seats and harnesses. then the interior is done.

then all thats left to do is tart the engine up. put the decal kit on. new bumpers and mount the rally lamps to the front. then….. SHOW TIME!!

hey guys.

just thought i'd keep everyone updated on how the car is coming along.

its been a very busy and stressful month but the car is slowly starting to look how it should.

got myself some refurbed Gti alloys. these wheels will only really be used for the shows.


new carpet fully fitted


fitted some small metal front and rear bumpers along with a small bottom chin spoiler.



fitted a full set of Gti arches all round.
also replaced the rear disk brakes with some new drilled and grooved ones.
alloys fitted too.






had to get a spare one too just to fill the whole lol


now….to start in the engine.

seems it was going to be more tricky than i first thought.



i had to take part of the throttle body off and get some cut of and ally welded up.
thought i'd try and give it a polish too



now i have to order up all the samco hoses and boost system pipe work.

the decals will be ready for collection this week at some point so when all that has been put on the car i will keep everyone informed any feedback would be great thanks guys
