I think you should do what you want! i toiled for a while about what to do, my 83 gti is very original with loads of history so im gonna go down the oem+ and make sure they are reservable  :thumbs:

I would agree with the first answer to be honest. As much as I hate some modifications I've seen on Mk1s, it's not my car or my money so I can't complain! And having said that, I am partial to a good rat look which most people despise!

Do your own thing and stand out from the crowd though.

My next project will be OEM all the way apart from maybe some nice wheels  :thumbs:  :thumbs:
