Having got the rear false floor cut to shape, I spent yesterday afternoon trimming it to match the backs of the seats.
I started with a padded base layer.
And then finished with an alcantara/ Suade like material.
I also popped round to see olly to pick up/ swap a few bits. I swapped my Hi-Spec brake setup for boot full of bits parts that came off a mk1 he was breaking. He also kindly picked up some Pirelli P Slots for me.
Not bad for £40

i can't wait to see it all finished looks so good really like the colour and all the detail your going into to make it that bit nicer than most of the mk1's you see

Made a little more progress on the engine last night. Got the turbo and manifold back on with all new gaskets and washers. Im still waiting on my shallow sump which has been on back order for two weeks Another purchase also turned up yesterday. Initial looks suggest that im going to need some spacers to clear the claipers as they are rather chunky

So while im still waiting for it to come back from paint I have managed to get a few more bits cleaned up, painted, ordered etc
AN fitting welded to the inlet mani
new 90* fitting to go on said fitting
rear calipers and carriers, starter motor and front engine mount painted
SuperPro mushroom bush fitted to front mount
New OMP lower front brace
More parts bolted back onto the block. Alternator bracket, alternator, shorter belt, belt tensioner, oil cooler
couple of pics from the body shot. Front panel now had a few less holes
Rear inner arched cleaned up
