this part is solid. very nice factory isolation but to be sore that everything is protected as it should be i will remove that one too.

Hi there. I found some original chrome handles from passat 1974 but they have different opening system than the original vw golf door handles. Does anyone have any idea how can i rework them to fit on my car?

The difference:


The golf handle pushes down


and the passat handle pushes forward.


maybee i should buy the whole locking system from the passat or? i've seen those handles on mk1 and i would be very thankfull if someone helps me.

gerabox cleaning


i am using one local chemistry called "Tsunami" to clean everything that is greased, dirty or painted (and it shouldn't be) it removes everything you don't want

All bounding elements are galvanised






then the brakes are cleaned and painted




bought new hella brake discs and pads


found g60 wheels with all caps


and my babies finally arrived from restoration

and some nuts polishing

yeah, i'll have to polish 120 nuts

thanks the wheels came up very very nice. i was sceptic about the gold color but they are…like. hhmmm awesome i will refurbish the g60's too for a little bit thinner tyre.

(2 discs) and you will do the job. Also a metal wire brush for electric driller. but some strong one. Also there's one chemistry from BODY

apply it with paint brush, leave it 15-30 mins and scratch it with those hand tools
