thank you all very much for your kind words, you make me blush haha. i am although very sad to say that i have to sell my golf as i am moving to the USA with my wife. it was my plan while awaiting a visa for a year to restore the green frog & drive it for a while before selling it but after discovering that the engine had to be rebuilt & getting messed about by a unreliable mechanic, this was unfortunately not to be the case. i have always wanted a mk 1 gti & now i have it finished it has to go which makes me very sad. i am selling it on here so check my for sale listing if you please? i hope it can go to a good home

Sorry to hear this Colin. Sounds an exiciting move over to the USA. Perhaps, funds permitting you could invest in a MK1 over there. Keep in touch on here though

Lovely Mk1 mate, should sell no problem! Vdub scene is big in the US, just like everything else, parts are cheaper etc.. Good luck dude
