Cheers :), I'm not sure I'll be sticking with those wheels yet, they need a fair amount of work to get them on the car O_o.

Picked up a couple of front seats, still need subframes after trying to adapt the standard frames and finding out they sit way too high:

Cheers, no rush. Don't know if it will help, but look at my thread, I've just modified some standard sub frames and fitted recaros to them, had to cut them down low to get them at a good height, the photos may give you a few ideas.

Apparently they're from a mk1 mr2 and I did check with an ex owner who said they look the same but have less adjustments so really I'm not 100% sure

Well the Golf made the road!

Thought it was about time I got my butt in gear and got it sorted so I worked flat out on it for a month around work, fitting new bumpers, lights, trims, graphics, brakes, bulbs, arches, undersealing the whole car, making brake lines and seat frames, trimming the inside of the front wings, undersealing again, fitting coilovers and the wheels, making sense of the wiring and getting it all working, inviting a group of mates round for the day to get it serviced and running after 2 years and finishing off with a BBQ, having an exhaust made, getting it taxed, mot'd and insured, machine polishing and hard waxing it and then finally driving it and taking pictures :D.

Was sooooo worth the effort!

The interior and the engine bay are far from finished but they're jobs for another time .

Otherwise, I'm absolutely loving it!

Take it you managed to fit your recaros? Did you make your own brackets?

Yeh I used some Corrado bases that I bought off cavs, cut the top off and made a H frame, then welded it all together and bolted the seat to the frame  :).
I'll get some pictures up of that as well  .
