Thanks Hugh but still a bit to do yet, how to run the 50 inch pop up 3d led tv is going to be a real pain and the beer cooler lol

4 new tyres ordered up Yokohama 225 70 15  y354  all season recommended by other syncro owners. Will use one of the old Hankook's for the spare

Well she's finished in the body shop, now just have to get every time put back on,popped the front grill just to get some thing done myself,sad i know.
Tyres on there way.

Picked the van up his morning from the body shop,planned to start getting the bumpers and underbody panels back on and a good cleam inside but bad weather has stopped play so will have to wait a bit longer.

On a wet Sunday afternoon what else was there to do but give the door cards a good clean (retrim planned down the line)
hard to see but they where very dirty, but came up well.

Arrived home to the smell of new rubber (sounds a bit kinky) 4 nice new tyres and a new shiny grill badge

Final push to day, took the day off work and got stuck in for the final push.
grills on + new grill badge,new clear front indicators,front bumper and new comers,new mounting bolts,screws and covers,rear bumper and corners,new mounting bolts,screws and covers,new rear tail gate VW badge,new alloy ball hitch cover,new tyres fitted,LED dash lights fitted,stainless screws for rear lights,door cards fitted,cab cleaned of dust,headlights set,new number plates and surrounds,various new screws.
looks like she could be ready for the MOT!!!! Door,front and rear syncro decals to put on when its dry.

thanks Smudger well pleased so far,need her MOT'D so shake any unknown issues out. Interior next seat's retrimed, rear insulated and new panels covered,new floor fitted.Fold down seat fitted and some storage sorted but all these things can wait.

New Bosch silver battery fitted,what a difference it made.got the heater working with out the dreaded dash removal, dropped the glove box and gave the plastic blower surround a whack to try and get it turning and it worked lolfitted a led bulb in the difflock dash panelNow trying to sort out the rear difflock actuator

Called in this morning,started her up and drove her back and forth gave a few jerks on the clutch and the rear diff actuator is now working freely yee haa, can't have been to bad had removed the light switch for the actuator and poured some gear oil in and the overnight soak must have been all it needed,I'm very sad but 2 green lights look well lol.

Picked this wheel carrier up a few months ago was powder coated grey ,so gave it a nice respray in black.

Old Blaupunkt radio removed and spare fitted and working, a bit retro but will do in the mean time,also sorted cigarette socket out now working,trail fit of the new ply panels, a bit of tweaking needed but not a bad fit,once covered will be fine.Replaced sliding door handle with 2nd hand one that has a key and works.Will hopefully get the floor in over the next few days.

Side door was not fully closing after the respray and kept popping out,thanks to the 80 90 wiki took the lock off gave it a squeeze in the vice,and cleaned up the catch's now closing first push. Fitted new chimney clips and stainless bolts and refitted the front bash plate,also gave a lot of the suspension parts a coat of Vactan,will also be getting a good recoat of waxoyl.

removed the seat runners from the floor and then painted it,getting ready for new floor.
Also replaced 3 of the heater plugs left the 3rd as light was getting bad and i was losing patience,fitted sliding door buffer,tightened up back exhaust box,and sorted a rattle out when she was running just needed to tighten a nut holding metal plate on manifold,replaced all the headlight mounting screws with new ones,checked alternator brushes. Plan to get front seats out and cleaned tomorrow,also refit engine bash panels.
