Personally, I think there is nothing worse than a bog standard mk1, they are crying out to be modded and also those who say standard all the way but have thier car lowered on aftermarket rims, hmmmm. Still, each to their own
Who says standard?

So we're not allowed to modify our cars? Or we're frowned upon
I like both, fully modified, and standard or subtle.
Don't like the whole
Smoothed bay it looks square!
Stickerbombs gay
Lexus lights are gash
Eyebrows are gash

Reading the past couple of Golf+ magazines, James Wallace is predicting the EU getting involved in the modding scene and alterations being banned under new directives. He's listed a whole host of links to read up on information - if you're modified minded.
That may be a consideration IF you're thinking of going down the non-standard route within the next few years. You may end up with an undriveable car!!!
I think he quoted Belgium and Austria as having gone that way already.

^^ Don't Australia and NZ have a similar thing?
Brad. You're aloud to do anything you like, it's your car!
However if it ends up anything like this I'll have words!
I understand its a mk2, but its that bad I had to stop and take a pic..
So much wrong!

Imagine all of the undrivable cars not to mention the loss of revenue to the government and job losses if a no modification law was passed. Can't see it happening in this country

All that's mentioned in the article but the EU does pass crazy laws at times.
You only need a 'few' road deaths or serious incidents involving modified cars and the argument begins to gather speed and a following.
Anyway, back to the fun bit….

Surely variety and modifications are what make the whole VW scene?……..or else we'd all have MGs I know I used to have one and couldn't wait to get back to having a mk1 Golf scene

some of the things I read on here I wouldn't really call a "style crime" just mods that people don't like, if you want proper "style" crimes…. check these out…
