From 1.6 to 2.0 8v what I need

Tadan! :$The wiring is arrive but, now i'm feel lost. Can someone repost the topic with the wiring information? I know that I've to take off the light wiring, a/c wiring and idro wiring.. but then?

you can use your fusebox if you like, this will require wire splicing. if you want the mk3 fusebox then you'll need all of the wiring from the mk3, and also a lot of splicing! so either way for you it will be effort.

the good news is that since your mk3 is LHD, the loom lengths will be about right for your mk1, over here its more of a hassle as on RHD mk1 the fusebox is still on the left, on mk2/3 the fusebox is on the right so not long enough!

if you go for the mk3 wiring most of it is just a case of get the wire colours and match them, but i would get yourself a 90spec mk2 golf dash clocks loom if possible as its coloured (mk3 is all white wires!!)

this will help:

I worked some nights at the wiring but I'm not really sure about my work (it's the first time…)

So:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoOKZ6EBLTsqdDRqWGdwdXJ3Vkh3VVRkVlJkVUhiaEE&usp=sharing

That what I did. I'm not sure about all, I've some dubt about CE1 a4, b7, b12, a3, b14, b19 and I really need someone that can take a look at this file and say me if it's works or not.

Every help it's really appreciate.

ok I'm so stupid that I can't understand this.

A/9 J/2 Flasher switch pin 56

Ok I've one wirint but two pin. So? What do i do?  :P

what it is on CE1 the wire goes direct from headlight switch to flasher switch. on ce2 the wire goes headlight switch to fusebox, then fusebox to flasher switch :)

you have 2 options, either wire it as per ce2, or ignore fusebox entirely and wire them together like CE1. the advantage of doign it ce1 way is less complexity, the advantage of ce2 way is it means loom is more modular. i.e. on ce2 you can unplug headlight switch loom on its own, on ce1 you have to take the stalk loom out with it

the choice as they say, is yours ;)

Fuel pump.

My 1.6 is different the wiring, so I haven't the wiring for the two pump.

So? What I do now? I buy some new wiring or I can add a cables in my wiring?

Thanks.

if you are converting to the CE2 fusebox, use the mk3 golf rear wiring loom. you'll just have to change the end of the fuel pump plug so it fits your car. the mk3 uses a 4 pin plug, you'll have to cut the 2 pump wires off and splice in 2 more wires so you get power to both fuel pumps. then cut the other 2 and splice them to your mk1 level sender.

then its a case of make the rest of the wiring loom fit your lights, all the wires you need are there in fact you'll have a few extras for the rear wash/wipe which can be cut out. the cabrio rear lights take spades so its just a case of cut mk3 plugs off and crimp spades on, matching the wire colours to your rear light units
