How would I be embarrassed ? I was sold the first set as 17" and the second set too ?
I don't work in a garage so how would I know how to measure a wheel correctly ?

When I brought the first set I ran a tape across the front, as I should and found that measurement to be hey presto ! 17" so why would I question it ? And would still go up to 17" given the choice but I've only just brought theses so will roll these for a while.

I would like to paint them something different, any ideas ?

Should I go for aluminium or steel and which make ?
Does anyone have any ?
Any ideas where I might get them from ?

Alloy and FK Adaptors are good , but you also need to buy Porsche wheel bolts as they are m14 not vw m12 thread size .
Hope that helps :-)

Also I don't know how true this is but I once got told if you put a too bigger diameter rim on a mk1 it can start knackering up ya clocks ie speedo and stuff, it's something todo with the revolutions of the larger alloy wheel ???????
